Canapé was born in Wilmington, NC, of chefs who wanted to push the boundaries of dining along the Cape Fear. They adopted the idea of a pop-up restaurant to pair groundbreaking culinary craft with artistic intuition. By hosting ticketed dinners around Wilmington at area venues and restaurants for one night only, new adventures can be enjoyed, all of which boast creativity and passion. Canapé brings the unexpected to every bite and makes sure diners are introduced to new, fresh and explosive flavors.
Founding partners: Matthew Gould and Sean Pascarelli

Dear Canape,
Your idea of the pop-up restaurant makes me weak. Bravo. I am so trying to restore some kind of cafe life at Cameron Art Museum–is there anyway we could work on a pop-up/partial fundraiser here at the museum? We have a first rate kitchen and I make pop-up books too, so maybe the menu could pop-up, or the chairs (oh my!)…yeah, I’m grasping here…but maybe not.
I would love to talk with you anytime, anywhere. Regardless of the lust in my heart your fabulous idea conjures up–Heartiest Congratulations Talented Men!
In amazement,

Hi Anne!
Let us get through our debut and we’d love to talk about doing one at CAM.
I see on the menu that there are two meat courses. Are the other 9 vegetarian friendly?
Hi Lauren, We emailed you about the veggie stuff. Check it and let us know if you want in! Be well, and thanks for your support and interest in Canapé.
Great job on the new menu look. Matt you are a great artist. I hope you guys knock it out of the park.
